Hello Montague Island

Posted by in Triplog

Lots of messages in from Shy Alba this morning. She is back in communication range after crossing Bass Strait.

At 6am this morning she was passing Montague Island. The photo above is of the sun rise this morning (not Montague Is which was not visible).

Shy Alba approached the Victorian coast wide to avoid shipping and later came closer in. A lot of shipping was seen and one situation requiring a change of course to avoid a ship which changed course to head for Eden.

All is well on board as you can see from the photos from the last few days. Dallas is cooking pancakes and Phil is fishing.

If the weather holds and the team keep driving they should arrive at Sydney heads around 5am on Wed.

(Note the freighter on the port bow on the radar image)
